The rules of the game have changed. Those who want to be at the head of the pack have to keep moving! That’s because the environment we’re familiar with is changing at breakneck speed. New, agile competitors are tackling existing business models at a rapid pace in almost all sectors. This is the impetus behind the motto for this year’s BestPractice Day, taking place in Darmstadt from July 3 to 4, 2018: Learn. Lead. Design the Change.”

“Companies have to be able to keep up if they want to continue to be successful in the current market”, explains Wilhelm Goschy, on the Staufen AG executive board. The ways in which companies can actively and definitively shape their future will be illustrated by numerous top speakers from the fields of business and science through talks and workshops presented at BestPractice Day 2018.

Key speakers with a broad range of backgrounds will shed light on the topic of transformation, providing participants with different perspectives and recommendations for the future. Art Byrne, lean guru and author, will explain the path to lean turnaround to BestPractice Day attendees. Futurist Lars Thomsen, founder of the future matters think tank, will speak about the future of work, map out megatrends and take a glimpse at the coming 520 weeks. Dr. Wilhelm Bauer, Executive Director of Fraunhofer IAO and technology commissioner of the state of Baden-Württemberg, describes the trajectory from Lean Toyota 1.0 to Lean Industry 4.0.

In addition, top executives from companies such as Kiekert, Bosch, MT Aerospace, Recaro and Schmitz Cargobull will illustrate how they implement lean management on a day-to-day basis and how they deal with the challenges of transformation. And so that participants can take home some food for thought when they leave Darmstadt, René Borbonus, a leading specialist in the field of rhetoric and business communication training, will close the convention with a presentation on the power of rhetoric.

With more than 350 participants annually, BestPractice Day has established itself as the meeting point for decision makers in the field of business and science. More information can be found at:
