„Short lead times in the definition, development and launch of products ensure short cycles of innovation as well as competitive advantages as the result of optimised cost to revenue ratios.Achieving shorter lead times urgently requires transparency and reliability in the project business.  Development and support tasks have to be segmented into value streams and the associated tasks as well as available implementation capacities have to be made transparent and controlled in short cycles. Within the operational planning horizon, the high performance ratio on the one hand and a capacity reserve on the other ensure the highest level of ability to react to unforeseen events.  This in turn serves to safeguard quality, time and cost targets.

As part of "job-floor management" in the development of Theben AG, a weekly feedback control system has been introduced for the planning and control of multi-project activities.  In conjunction with a positive approach to errors and clear escalation management, development projects can thus be guided towards successful outcomes in a much better and more reliable manner than with the exclusive use of classic project management methods.“
