The Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) was founded in 1954 and today has over 7,500 members. The headquarter is located in Frankfurt/Main.

BME's has over 1,650 corporate members, including Fortune 500 companies and SMEs. In our member companies over 105,000 people work inside purchasing departments. The yearly turnover of BME members is about 298 trillion Euro, the combined purchasing volume of our corporate members reaches 1.25 trillion Euro per year.

BME provides know-how transfer and services for procurement and supply chain management and supports academic research. The BME Academy is Germany`s largest procurement training provider. BME`s Shanghai office opened in 2008. China is also a main focus for BME's supplier database.
