Organization of the workplace – 5S system
Why attend this workshop?
The name 5S derives from the names of five primary elements of the entire system (method) - Sort (Jap. seiri), Set in order (Jap. seiton), Shine (Jap. seiso), Standardize (Jap. seiketsu) and Sustain (Jap. shitsuke). These five actions are five pillars of an efficient workplace.
5S is simple and universal, it checks out around the whole world, both in production companies and service. The areas of applying 5S are, among others, production halls, offices, warehouses.
The actions of 5S are a necessary support in implementing other improvements, such as Changeover Time Reduction (SMED), just-in-time systems, total quality management (TQM), and total productive maintenance (TPM).
