Questions about the selection of seminars:

Yes, we also offer them as an in-house option. We design trainings based on your needs and hold them based on the cognitive apprenticeship approach on site at your company – from individual measures all the way to an international qualification program. You are fully flexible in terms of dates, topics and target groups. Read more here 

Questions about the registration process:

Registering via our online form is easy and convenient. You can find the form at the listing for the respective seminar. Another option is to contact us via email at kontakt@staufen.ag or send a fax to (+)49 (0) 7024 8056-111.

Within five work days after receiving your registration, we will send you written confirmation. This confirmation includes the training schedule, information about discounted train tickets with Deutsche Bahn, directions, hotel recommendations and potential opportunities to apply for a grant.

For seminars and BestPractice tours, you will receive an invoice in the mail after you have already participated. The exception is conferences and Certified Lean Leader training: here you will receive an invoice in the mail after your registration has been confirmed. Payment is to be made via bank transfer.

Your registration can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before the beginning of the event. If you cancel after that time, you will receive an invoice for the entire fee. If you are unexpectedly prevented from taking part due to reasons such as illness, you may send an alternative participant at any time.

There is not a standard registration deadline for our events. However, we recommend booking early, since our events are usually fully booked solid between 3-6 weeks before they begin.

Questions about prices, funding and discounts:

When three or more people register simultaneously as a group, there is a 20% discount on the regular participation fee. We also offer a special rate as part of our training program for lean experts and trainers:  If multiple steps of the program are booked at the same time, you will receive a 5% discount on steps 1 + 2 or a 10% discount on steps 1 + 2 + 3. Please note: Special rates cannot be combined.

Staufen is a European Social Fund-approved provider of continuing education. This allows you the option of applying for grants or funding for certain courses. You can find an overview of all of our specialist courses and the requirements for receiving funding here. There are also other state-based grant opportunities with which you can apply for federal or regional funding for your continuing education programs.

The event fee includes notes and documentation (hard copy or digital), soft drinks, lunch and coffee breaks. Travel expenses, dinner and hotel accommodations are not included in the price. The event fee does not include VAT.

Questions about the Lean Expert training program:

Generally, yes. However, credit towards the certificates “Lean Expert,” “Lean Trainer” and “PTW Training factory" is only given to participants who are present for all of the modules of the training and who successfully pass the subsequent test. This is held on the final day of Module 2 or 3. Independently of the exam, you will receive a certificate of participation after every module. Please note that directly enrolling in Step 2 assumes that you have accredited basic knowledge of Lean fundamentals.

This must be demonstrated to event management. Step 3 can only be taken after certified and successful completion of Steps 1+2.

We recommend taking Steps 1 + 2 within one year. Both of these steps can be taken within a short interval. The Lean experts need to manage their own in-house workshops and projects so they can apply what they have learned no later than when they complete Step 2. This practical application is fundamental for transformation at your company, although it is not an official part of the training program. We thus recommend that you take at least 6 months between Steps 2 + 3 so you can apply hands-on what you have learned. Our trainers would be happy to support you in developing and conducting your workshops, especially in the role of the coach.

Within 14 days after completing your training (in Steps 2 and 3) you will be informed whether or not you have passed your final examination. Your certificate will then be mailed to the billing address we have on file. Please make sure to inform us in advance if a different address should be used than the billing address.

Questions about the Lean Leader training program:

To successfully complete the training, within 24 months you have to earn 13 credit points (1 credit point = 1 training day) in the 3 mandatory core modules and the elective modules. Read more here.

When you book the entire Certified Lean Leader training program without the elective module on coaching (13 days of training incl. exam fee and certificate), you save up to €1,650 in comparison to booking the courses separately, and you are completely flexible in your choice of elective modules. The total price is €8,990.00.

When you book the entire Certified Lean Leader training program including the elective module on coaching (11 days of training, 2 days of individual coaching incl. exam fee and certificate), you save up to €2,460 in comparison to booking the courses separately. You are completely flexible in your choice of elective modules. The total price is €10,990.00.

If the elective modules you select amount to more than 13 days of training / coaching, each additional day is invoiced at a flat rate of €600. Special rates cannot be combined. All of the courses can be booked individually (with the exception of “Lean Leadership Advanced").
